Jin Xiaoming, Deputy Secretary of the Qingpu District Committee and Acting District Mayor, Jin Junfeng, Member of the District Committee and Deputy District Mayor, Yu Zhenan, Commercial Consul of the Singapore Consulate General in Shanghai and Deputy Director of the China Department of Singapore Enterprise Development Bureau, and other leaders attended the visit and exchange meeting.
On behalf of the Qingpu District Committee and the District Government, Jin Xiaoming welcomed the arrival of Cai Lianghe and his delegation, and expressed his gratitude to Singapore for its long-term concern and support for Qingpu's development. He said that Singapore is an important economic and trade partner of Qingpu, and more than 100 well-known Singaporean companies such as Meite Curtain Wall have invested in Qingpu, making positive contributions to the high-quality economic and social development of Qingpu. Jin Xiaoming said that Qingpu will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Singapore in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, strengthen the confidence and confidence of enterprises to invest in Qingpu, take root in Qingpu, and develop Qingpu, and create more opportunities for Singaporean companies to invest and develop in Qingpu.
Cai Lianghe said that Shanghai is one of the main destinations for Singapore's investment in China. In 2019, the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Cooperation Council was established to deepen cooperation in six major areas, including the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", financial services, scientific and technological innovation, business environment facilitation, urban governance, and cultural exchanges. Cai Lianghe thanked Qingpu for its exploration and contribution to the continuous deepening of Sino-Singapore economic cooperation. He hoped that the two sides would further strengthen cooperation and promote the connection between Singaporean companies and Qingpu resources in multiple fields such as industrial development, financial services, and scientific and technological innovation, so as to work together for mutual benefit and win-win results.
At the meeting, Yu Ziyang, Chairman of Shanghai Amtronic Curtain Wall Co., Ltd. and President of Singapore Green Construction Development Alliance, introduced the company's development in Qingpu and the "Amtronic New Intelligent Manufacturing Base" project. This project is a building facade intelligent industrial park project built by Amtronic Group with the support of Qingpu Industrial Park. It aims to combine Singapore's more mature multi-storey industrial plant design experience with Shanghai's "industrial up-building" policy to create a green building materials innovation and intelligent land with international advanced design concepts.
The heads of the District Economic Commission, District Commerce Commission, District Construction Management Commission, and Qingpu Industrial Park held discussions with representatives of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Shanghai) Branch, Singapore Enterprise Center, and Singapore Green Construction Development Alliance.
As a Singaporean company established in Shanghai for more than 30 years, Shanghai Amtronic Curtain Wall Co., Ltd. has always maintained friendly relations with the Singaporean Consulate and relevant governments of Singapore. In 2020, under the guidance of the Ministry of National Development and the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore, the holding company of Shanghai Amtronic Curtain Wall Co., Ltd., Singapore Amtronic Group, took the lead in establishing the Singapore Green Development Alliance (SGDA). On April 24, 2023, the fourth meeting of the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Cooperation Council was held in Singapore. On July 9, 2024, the fifth meeting of the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Cooperation Council was held in Shanghai. At this meeting, Amtronic Group and Shanghai Qingpu Industrial Park Development (Group) Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation framework agreement, intending to further increase investment in China and build the "Shanghai Amtronic New Intelligent Manufacturing Base" building facade smart industrial park. At the 2024 Shanghai Urban Investment Promotion Conference, Amtronic Group plans to invest in setting up Shanghai Amtronic New Curtain Wall Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Qingpu, which will become the group headquarters of Singapore Amtronic Group in China, and integrate the international technology exchange center, intelligent manufacturing center, Singapore Green Development Alliance Service Center and other diversified operating platforms. As an enterprise rooted in Qingpu District for more than 20 years, our company has developed steadily and healthily with the support of the Qingpu District Government and the relevant policies of the park. Our company hopes to serve as a link between the Singapore Government and the Qingpu District Government to promote further cooperation and development between China and Singapore, and to contribute to the complementary advantages and win-win development of the two companies.
