Unlocking Green Finance

Unlocking Green Finance
Organisations are increasingly moving towards a more sustainable future while environmental, social and governance materiality are beginning to factor heavily into business operations.
Green financing has been gaining momentum here in Singapore since 2018, with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) setting up a US$2 billion green investments programme (GIP) in November 2019 to invest in public market investment strategies that have a strong green focus. MAS also released in June 2020 a consultation paper on new guidelines to manage environmental risks for financial institutions. These will help to support the Singapore financial centre in promoting environmentally sustainable projects and mitigating climate change risks in Singapore and the region.
What impact will green financing have on industries such as building and construction and how can businesses tap on its benefits? In this SGBC Webinar series supported by HSBC, find out more about sustainable financing and how it could help your business unlock growth and value in the future by funding growth, driving innovation and delivering improved margins.
